The Wedding
After seven years together, Sam and Ash will be tying the knot in 2025, and would love to be surrounded by their family and friends for a magical getaway in Spain.
As some of our favourite things involve all things culture, food, music and dancing, we want to throw THE celebration of our lives, incorporating all the things we love with the people we hold dearest.
The Proposal
It was February 2023 and we were embarking on our year-long travels of Latin America.
Deep in the heart of Guatemala, atop the sun-soaked mountains of the beautiful Lake Atitlan, Ash dropped to one knee and proposed.
Little did she know, back at the hotel Sam also had a ring waiting for her, a double proposal and a day neither of us will ever forget.
Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Hotel Cortijo Bravo
Venue – Located in the sunny olive groves of the beautiful Costa del Sol, we will be getting married at Hotel Cortijo Bravo, near the city of Malaga in Spain. The hotel is close to the town of Velez-Malaga, a 40 minute drive east of Malaga.
Time – The ceremony will start at 5:30pm, please arrive from 4.45pm. In true Spanish fashion, the party will continue late into the night, ¡viva la fiesta!
Dress code – Summer Formal, the weather will (hopefully!) be hot even in October, but may get chilly into the night so bring something to wrap up and keep warm in case. The ground may be uneven so wear stilettos at your own risk!
Children – We have made the difficult decision not to have children at our wedding due to limited numbers at the venue. We appreciate this may make things more challenging for some however we hope arrangements can be made so you are still able to join us. If required we can provide contact details for recommended nanny services in the area who can support with childcare for the evening.
Taxis – It’s going to be a late one! Given that it is an evening ceremony, we imagine the party will continue until at least 2-3am so please make suitable taxi/ transport arrangements to get yourselves home afterwards. Uber is available but may be limited. Details for local taxi companies are provided within the helpful information below.
Indian Pre-Wedding Celebration
In addition to the wedding day, we will also be hosting some pre-wedding celebrations the day before, on Tuesday 30th September.
We will be having some traditional Indian celebrations, with food and drink provided. We welcome everyone to come and join us, with traditional Indian attire encouraged and your best Bhangra moves ready to be put to use!
The event will last between 5.30 – 9.30pm at the wedding venue Hotel Cortijo Bravo

Walking tour of the city centre, some of the top sights include the Alcazaba, Malaga Cathedral, Calle Larios and Plaza Merced
Try some local Spanish cuisine at Atarazanas Market
If you fancy a little adventure, book a day trip to Caminito del Rey (Google it, it’s stunning!)
Or soak up the last of the summer by one of the many beaches along the Costa del Sol
Take a train and visit nearby Granada or Sevilla, 2 of Ash’s favourite cities!
