WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!
19th September 2023
In December 2016, Reniel was travelling home to Puerto Rico from Miami. Mahya happened to take the same flight. They sat beside each other on the plane and after a couple of hours Reniel mustered up some courage and said “de que parte de la isla eres?”. Obviously, Mahya didn’t understand a word and responded, “sorry I don’t speak Spanish!”. Realizing that Mahya was a solo traveler to his country, Reniel was a true gentleman giving her all sorts of tips and places she should visit and offered his number in case she would ever need anything during her stay.
They knew there was something special about their meeting. They kept their contacts- occasional text messages became more frequent and eventually turned into none stop everyday calls and more trips between Canada and Puerto Rico to meet each other and their families.
In early 2018, Mahya had a job opportunity to move to New Jersey, USA. They both decided to leave their home countries, friends and family behind to start a new life together in NJ. That happened to be the best decision of their lives and they have been inseparable and so happy together since.
Reniel proposed to Mahya during one of their hiking adventures.
They were on a sunrise hike at Arches National Park in Utah. He popped the question under the famous Delicate arch as the sun was rising. He said:
“A new day, A new beginning! I want our adventures to never end, and I want to see the world with you as my wife. Will you marry me?”

We recommend you travel to Malaga Airport AGP
As the capital city of the ever-popular Costa del Sol, Malaga is home to some of Spain’s most stunning coastline.
From its stunning port and beautiful old town, to its multitude of quirky galleries and tapas bars; it’s easy to see why it’s considered Andalusia’s leading cultural and historical hub. Let’s not forget the fact that it’s sunny almost all year round!
Antequera, 50 minutes from Malaga, is known for its ancient burial mounds. The Alcazaba of Antequera is a centuries-old Moorish fortress. The vast nature preserve of Torcal de Antequera has dramatic limestone tower rock formations. Overlooking the town, Peña de los Enamorados is a distinctive, face-shaped mountain.
